The Supporters’ Club was formed over 30 years ago, records show that there has always been a very active Farmers’ Committee raising funds and helping with a variety of tasks within the country, which is now carried on by the BHSC. The Committee consists of 10 to 15 members.
A number of events are held during the year including a Hunter Trial in October, catering at Pleasure Rides, hunt breakfasts etc.
There is a thriving Membership list which entitles everyone to receive details of meets, newsletters and details of all events and activities. The subscription rates are £20 single or £30 for a couple.
There is also a wide range of merchandise to purchase including clothing, ties, tea towels, postcards and a popular annual calendar.
As a result of fundraising events, the BHSC in recent times has been able to provide the Bedale Kennels with a flesh trailer, ride-on lawnmower, steam cleaner and redecorated the cottages as well as building the whelping lodges etc. All vaccinations, wormers and microchips for Hounds are funded by Members’ Subscriptions.
New members and committee members are more than welcome to become involved in the activities and new ideas for fund raising are always appreciated.
It is a great way of getting involved or just staying in touch.
